These entrants must park on the east side of the track and use their designated gate. If not pre-registered, use the Gate A entrance for registration (see map). A picture is required of all pre-registered entries unless you are entering the same vehicle as last year. Note: Tribute vehicles will use the Gate A entrance off US-40 for entry into the Race side where the tribute display is located. The Nats will again make available the "Car Club Parking Area". If you’re a member of a Mopar Car Club and have at least 10 members entering into the event (applications must be sent in together), then you can park together in a reserved area. The Fun Field is for those entrants who want to enter their vehicle in the show for display purposes only. Participants will have a chance at winning door prizes, special awards and the ability to make a timed pass on the track on Saturday during one of the two open time trial sessions. Pre-registered participants also receive an event goody bag which is filled with event souvenirs and information.

This entry is for those participants who want to race their cars in one of the many different bracket classes or shootouts. Pre-registration entries admit two adults and the vehicle to all three days. The vehicle must pass all NHRA rules for its E.T. Cars entered will park on the east side of the track in the designated pit area. Use the Main Gate A entrance on the first day or until tech-inspected. Tech inspection will be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; NO Sunday Tech inspections. After the vehicle passes tech inspection, park in the designated pit area and use the entrance gate on your confirmation letter to enter the grounds. Drag Race 101 - Never driven a car on the 1/4 mile of asphalt? No problem. No need to be embrassed. Plenty of enthusiats dont have a track close to their house or had the opportunity to try it. There will be an instruction seminar on Friday AM at the starting line. Instruction will be how to do a burnout with your car, how to stage your car, and how to launch your car. Also some tips will be given for certain issues should they arise and how to get the best ET as possible. See more details and the time in your confirmation package. It will also be posted here once details are finalized.
Concours Judged Show Entry - (Concours & OE-Certification): Want to be professionally Judged? The cost is $95, and your entry must be postmarked by June 30, 2023. No entries will be accepted after this date or at the gate. This entry is for those participants who want their cars judged and will compete for award plaques as well as bragging rights. The Nats is one of only a few Car Shows that offer participants entered into the Judging portion of the event the ability to have their car teamed Judged by professionals in the field. The judges are educated and have knowledge on the vehicles they are judging when it comes to the original classes, knowing what is correct and what isn’t. They also have been trained to judge in the modified classes to evaluate modifications based on execution, creativity, and quality. There is no “people’s choice” here at the Nats, you must have the “car” to take top honors. The Judged show participants will be located on the EAST SIDE OF the track. The Judged cars will be parked in the Corporate Hospitality fenced in area where Modern Muscle has been previously parked. Trailed parking will be available for those who paid in a reserved area in Lot A. Entry admits the car and two adults for all three days. Judged /Tribute entries may continue to park on the judging side all weekend long or after being Judged on Friday can park on either side in designated areas only. There are seven major categories, and all require photos to be included with the entry application so we can confirm classification of the vehicle. If in doubt, e-mail us ahead of time with pictures of the vehicle by the June 30 date so proper classification is performed. Some classes have restrictions or additional fees. Senior and OE-Certified classes require additional funds, with OE requiring prior approval as this class fills up fast. Remember to include two photos (three-quarter front and rear) with your application unless entering the same vehicle as last year. Include copies of your broadcast sheet, window sticker, and any other supporting documentation for the OE Certification and Senior classes. (NOTE: Since this judging class may be full by the time this publication is released, be sure to pre-schedule for an available ’24 or ‘25 opening). Judged Show vehicles trailered to the track must park in the approved designated trailer areas and purchase a trailer permit ($25). Show cars can compete in the Saturday Trophy Race and/or make a time trial on Saturday during the designated times. Judging takes place on Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Winners will be announced and displayed at the Judged and Registration tents on Saturday after 3 pm.

50th Anniversary of the 1973 Model Year and 60th Anniversary of 1963. 1973 continued with the "Emisions" going against the Muscle Car Era as the Big Block was now gone in a lot of the cars and all engines received a decrease in overall horsepower. Dodge discontinued the Scat Pack Ad campaign for performance cars and replaced by the Dodge Boys. Plymouth would also discontinue the Rapid Transit System" Campaign. This years show will be celebrating the 1973 offerings with a special display area for these entered vehicles.
Malaise Muscle Car Invitational - 1973-1983 The lower performance years. Featured at this year's Nationals is a Display of the Muscle Cars that don't get the respect they deserve, the 1973-1983 Muscle Cars from the Pentastar. If you own one of these Gems, enter the show and be apart of this historic collection of late model muscle cars.
Young Guns - The Mopar Nats started the Young Guns competition many years ago. It is a Judged Show classification dedicated to those entrants 25 and younger (male or female) in both original and modified classes. In original, the vehicle must be restored and be over the age of 20 years old. In modified, any year vehicle will be accepted by obviously it has to have been modified and judging is based on the number of modifications, but more importantly their creativity, execution and quality. A special area in the Judging field is reserved for these entrants. We want to encourage young men and women to get into the hobby and be able to compete with each other on their limited financial budget. We realize that mom and dad will help out, but preference will be given to those who did it on their own with just a helping hand from the parents, not an endless pocket book.
Awards Presentation - Sunday at 12 Noon starts the Nats Award presentation. Individual winners in the Car Show Judging classifications will have the opportunity to have their name announced, a brief description of their car and a commemorative parade lap in front of the grand stands. During this time the Best in Show awards will also be announced along with OE Certification results.
Burn Out Contest - The Nats was the first show to create the idea of a burn-out contest over 37years ago. At 2pm on Friday & Saturday registered participants (show, race or vendor sticker) who signed-up at the Nats Registration Tent will get up to 1 minute to show off what their vehicle can do in putting up smoke. Judges and the crowd response will be used to determine the overall winner each day.
100 MPH Club - If your vehicle can run the quarter mile in 100 miles per hour or more you will be awarded a decal honoring your achievement and announcing you’re a member of the Nats Mopar 100 MPH Club. 100 MPH pass can be made in time trials or in competition. Only one decal per car will be awarded, pickup at the ET Shack where you will get your time slip.

Vendors will be saving their "Good" stuff to bring out to this event, as it is the largest all-Mopar swap meet & manufacturer midway in the world. It’s also one of the last big events of the year, so prices are set lower to broom out the merchandise before the winter sets in. Many companies use the Nats to debut their new restoration/reproduction items and offer those bargain introductory discounts. It is unbelievable the number of unique parts that show up. If Mopar made it, it will be for sale at the Nats. Plan on spending a whole day just looking at all the parts. (While any part can be found at the Nats, most vendors cater to 1960 – to current year items). MIDWAY & SWAP SPACE CONTRACT CLICK HERE
Car Corral - Selling your Mopar or ? - For those interested in buying or selling a Mopar/AMC, the Nats offers a Car Corral. This is an area located on the north east side of the track, where all the vehicles that are available for sale are positioned in one area. This makes it a lot easier to have them in one place so you are not walking the whole grounds looking for sale signs. There is no better place than the Nats Car Corral. Last year’s event saw a 70% sales rate. For just a $95 pre-registration fee, the car entry and one weekend admission pass is provided. Non running vehicles can remain on the trailer, but the tow vehicle must be parked in the vendor lot. Tow vehicle/trailer parking is available in the vendor lot.
